Ah yes. I do love making lists. And this list is quite a fun one. Over the coarse of now and the lastest homecoming dance, I came across hundreds of dresses that I simply adore. So here's my little tribute to the top three Betsey dresses that I would love to own (but can't afford). Keep in mind that some of these dresses are out of season and may be difficult to find.
Please comment if you find these dresses anywhere:
(online, at a Betsey Store, etc..)#3: Evening "Tea Party" Dress
Stunning? Check. Breathtaking? Double check. This memorable dress is a couple of season old but looks amazing regardless. This dress is so cute and even the name is cute. It's a tea party dress! This retro styled dress may look old school, but is actually quite fashionable among girls today! You may recall Selena Gomez wearing this dress in the Disney Channel movie "Princess Protection Program". That is when I first fell in love with this dress. It's so elegant and classy. Not to mention, very modest! This dress is actually knee length while still maintaining a flirty look. This "tea party" "50's" style is one of Betsey's most famed designs. You're guaranteed to look beautiful in this one, girls. It originally sold for $380 (not sure about this price but it was I think it's close). I've seen this dress in many colors and fabrics by Betsey, but this is by far my favorite,
however, I managed to find a bluer one for sale here if you'd like.#2: Evening "Martini" Dress
Ladies, the bow. How can you not adore this dress? The bubble hem, the texture, and the gorgeous shade of pink! It's such a fun dress and I could see myself at prom with this one also (well, I could see myself at prom with any/all of these dresses, haha!) I've also seen this dress in a minty green. Both are very beautiful. On a side note, this dress is a couple of seasons old so it is literally impossible to find anywhere which is very disappointing. The uniqueness of this dress would be the center of attention anywhere and would flatter anyone's body. Since the dress design is very simple, a pair of some beautiful heels wouldn't be too overpowering! To end, I'd have to say that this is such a cute dress that I'd where it everywhere! The price is not too shabby either. This dress sold originally for $315. As mentioned earlier, this is several seasons old so if you plan to buy this beauty, you'd find it on the clearance rack in a Betsey Johnson store selling for MUCH less. Cheers! (Comment me if you've spotted this dress anywhere.)
#1: "Can Can Stretch Charmeuse Ruffles Dollface" Dress
This adorable 'can can' dress is extremely lovely in person. I first spotted this treasure on the Betsey Johnson website and immediately fell in love with it. The champagne color, the silky appearance, the ruffles, all so perfect! While visiting San Francisco, I came across a Betsey Johnson store! Sure enough, this beloved dress was in there. I tried it on and I felt like a princess. This dress is so flattering and beautiful. Unfortunately, the price tag leaves a lot to be desired. Selling at $485, this work of art would leave my wallet empty up until graduation. But you're getting what you pay for: a timeless dress. Although I cannot find it anywhere now, maybe I'll come across it in again and hopefully at a lower price. All in all, a darling dress for prom, dances, weddings, any formal event.
Buy it here! Thanks for reading! Please let me know if you've seen these dresses at a Betsey store recently. Maybe on clearance? Ah well. Here's a picture of me wearing my number one favorite dress:
Good night!
