Geez, is spring break really over? How disappointing. I wasted it all away. I did bake a lot but I was extremely bored most of the time.
So where should I begin? Ah yes. Countdown to Wicked: leaving next week! Super excited (if you read the previous post). Also, I signed up for the SAT'S *groan* not fun. In addition, I've begun researching colleges and I'm pretty much convinced that I want to attend Saint Martin's University. I've scheduled a college visit and everything. My hopes also include studying abroad after a year or two of being in college. I'm thinking about studying in London (and not just because Phantom of the Opera is playing there...) Wouldn't that be totally fun to do vlogs when I'm there? I'd love to share my experiences with everyone.
Honestly, that's all I really wanted to rant about. The future is bright! I'll be back with pictures from my trip to Eugene, OR for Wicked!

Events
Once again I have forgotten to blog! Where shall I begin? Well this week I bought Tangled on bluray. I absolutely adore that movie! Oh and spring break is now happening. Aww yeah. So with all this freetime, I suppose I'll move on to the exciting things happening in my life.
First off, my whole family (+BFF Mani) are heading down to Eugene, OR to see Wicked: The Musical at the end of April.

Can you say awesome? I'm extremely thrilled about seeing this. My mom and I saw this musical in San Francisco last summer and it was PHENOMENAL. Mani has also seen this musical. This will be the first time for my brothers and my dad. I cannot wait to watch this spectacular show. I already know I'm going to cry buckets during "Defying Gravity".
In other news, my family is getting a new boston terrier puppy at the end of May! We already have a boston named Junior so now he has a little brother to look forward to. The new puppy is named Oliver (SO ADORABLE)! Boston terriers are the friendliest, most expressive dogs that I have ever known. Plus, they're so cute.
Moving along, my french class has finished reading The Phantom of the Opera (in a watered-down version for french class purposes). This inspired me to watch the movie (the one with Gerard Butler) and let me tell you...I AM OBSESSED NOW. I now own the original book and the soundtrack. I also have a newfound love for Gerard Butler. I am in love, can't you tell?
And finally, as my birthday present on Feb. 25, I will be attending a Taylor Swift concert in September with my mom and Mani! So exciting. This will be my first concert.
I'm too lazy to go into detail about anything else. That's all I'll be posting now.
During spring break, I plan on baking something new every day. Maybe I'll blog about it? Stay tuuuuuuuuuuned.

Delays.
Well it's been forever since I last blogged. But I came from San Fran two weeks ago. Haha. Let's just say it was a good trip and move on because I'm too lazy to type everything that's happened. Graduation was awesome and so was the shopping. I bought two Betsey Johnson dresses! Ahhh. I'm crazy.
Well what's new? My voice lessons are going well, although, I still feel like I have a weak voice and can't break my habits. But maybe that's just me.
I got my report card for the semester and my grades are all A's except Precalculus (B).
Things are going swimmingly in life I suppose. Everything's great with one minor problem: My old eating habits are coming back and it's getting hard to exercise again.
I think it's all the stress around me. Ugh. Need to focus.
Anywho, that's about it. Nothing new. Just researching Disney vacations and trying to figure out what I want to do after high school.
Bye, I suppose. Hopefully next time I write, I'll be a little more interesting...

Weekend, Week, Weekend
It's been awhile since I've made a personal post about how things are going! Although, I'm really blogging for no one else to read at this time. Haha. I wonder when my family or friends will learn of this online journal. Oh well! Until then, this is my little secret :)
Last friday, I spent my time with my lovely friend, Mani! Here's a picture of us from the homecoming football games severaly months ago:

Anyway, we went out to Panera for lunch after
school and here's an overview of what I got:
I bought myself broccoli cheddar soup in a sourdough bread bowl with a french baguette and a cinnamon roll (Mani and I shared the cinnamon roll). This is one of my favorite places to get lunch. Honestly, how can this not make you water at the mouth? I love Panera. I love their bread. I love their goodies. I love everything about this place. I wish it was located near my school so I could go there everyday and get their soup. Okay, rant over.
After lunch, Mani and I rented the sixth Harry Potter movie in hopes of jogging my memory of what happened last. Then later at night, we went to the movies and saw the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It was amazing! I really need to start reading the books again. I'm on the fifth book right now because the beginning is just so long and boring. Haha, well that could be different for everyone. Then afterwards I slept over.
Then on Saturday evening, Kayla came over and we watched the Pursuit of Happyness. We adore Will Smith. He's all we watch when we have sleepovers. And then on Sunday morning, we went to church.
Monday...nothing special happened. Just had to study a lot for finals (which I did not do at all...)
And then finally today: Tuesday. I had my math final and a french exam on the subjective. How did math go? Not too bad. Well, actually, pretty bad. I missed two big questions and so there's no hope for an 'A' in that class. This final will make or break my grade. Right now, I have a solid 'B'. Let's see how long that lasts for...p.s. no retakes allowed.
As for french, I could've done better. MUCH better. I did not study so I'm pretty sure it was not a good test. What is it with these crazy tenses and conjugations? Ugh. Hopefully I did alright in the end. One can pray.
On the bright side, I will be going to San Francisco on Friday through Sunday! Too bad I'll be missing french class; they're making crepes! I guess I'll just have to get some crepes in San Fran! I've been to San Fran once before and I STILL haven't seen the Golden Gate Bridge. Can you believe it? My goal: Get a picture in front of the bridge. Keep your fingers crossed!
And that's all for now! My science final is on thursday. Let's hope that one goes much better.

Top Three Betsey Johnson Dresses I'd Love To Own
Ah yes. I do love making lists. And this list is quite a fun one. Over the coarse of now and the lastest homecoming dance, I came across hundreds of dresses that I simply adore. So here's my little tribute to the top three Betsey dresses that I would love to own (but can't afford). Keep in mind that some of these dresses are out of season and may be difficult to find.
Please comment if you find these dresses anywhere:
(online, at a Betsey Store, etc..)
#3: Evening "Tea Party" Dress
Stunning? Check. Breathtaking? Double check. This memorable dress is a couple of season old but looks amazing regardless. This dress is so cute and even the name is cute. It's a tea party dress! This retro styled dress may look old school, but is actually quite fashionable among girls today! You may recall Selena Gomez wearing this dress in the Disney Channel movie "Princess Protection Program". That is when I first fell in love with this dress. It's so elegant and classy. Not to mention, very modest! This dress is actually knee length while still maintaining a flirty look. This "tea party" "50's" style is one of Betsey's most famed designs. You're guaranteed to look beautiful in this one, girls. It originally sold for $380 (not sure about this price but it was I think it's close). I've seen this dress in many colors and fabrics by Betsey, but this is by far my favorite, however, I managed to find a bluer one for sale here if you'd like.
#2: Evening "Martini" Dress
Ladies, the bow. How can you not adore this dress? The bubble hem, the texture, and the gorgeous shade of pink! It's such a fun dress and I could see myself at prom with this one also (well, I could see myself at prom with any/all of these dresses, haha!) I've also seen this dress in a minty green. Both are very beautiful. On a side note, this dress is a couple of seasons old so it is literally impossible to find anywhere which is very disappointing. The uniqueness of this dress would be the center of attention anywhere and would flatter anyone's body. Since the dress design is very simple, a pair of some beautiful heels wouldn't be too overpowering! To end, I'd have to say that this is such a cute dress that I'd where it everywhere! The price is not too shabby either. This dress sold originally for $315. As mentioned earlier, this is several seasons old so if you plan to buy this beauty, you'd find it on the clearance rack in a Betsey Johnson store selling for MUCH less. Cheers! (Comment me if you've spotted this dress anywhere.)
#1: "Can Can Stretch Charmeuse Ruffles Dollface" Dress
This adorable 'can can' dress is extremely lovely in person. I first spotted this treasure on the Betsey Johnson website and immediately fell in love with it. The champagne color, the silky appearance, the ruffles, all so perfect! While visiting San Francisco, I came across a Betsey Johnson store! Sure enough, this beloved dress was in there. I tried it on and I felt like a princess. This dress is so flattering and beautiful. Unfortunately, the price tag leaves a lot to be desired. Selling at $485, this work of art would leave my wallet empty up until graduation. But you're getting what you pay for: a timeless dress. Although I cannot find it anywhere now, maybe I'll come across it in again and hopefully at a lower price. All in all, a darling dress for prom, dances, weddings, any formal event. Buy it here!
Thanks for reading! Please let me know if you've seen these dresses at a Betsey store recently. Maybe on clearance? Ah well. Here's a picture of me wearing my number one favorite dress:

Senior Trip Destination To Disneyland
So this week has been quite stressful. I had a math test and a science test on friday that I believe I did okay on. I also had to write a seven paragraph journal for my The Grapes of Wrath book. After surveying my class before turning mine in, I will say that I am not proud of mine at all. I'll be lucky to even get a 'B' on it. Seriously this will hurt my grade. In other news, finals are next week and I'm going to San Francisco on the 28th! I will blog regularly then.
On the bright side, my friend, Mani and I have been discussing what we should do for our senior trip in the summer of 2012. Yes, I am a junior right now but it's never too early to plan a year ahead considering I'll need to plan for making the money for it. So I've been researching and googling several places to go. Mani is probably the only friend who could come with me on a trip because she's financially able to.
1. Disneyland/California Adventures:
You can never go wrong with going here. And I mean never. This is the happiest place on earth to go. Considering I only live two states away, airfare is not a problem. I've been here five times and always end on a happy note. The Disneyland Hotel would be our prime place to stay if we went there. I love the atmosphere, the staff, the rooms, the pools, the food, everything about the Disneyland Hotel. It's super magical and I adore the (rather expensive) character dining. But hey, it's graduation! And it'll be my money.

Character Dining 2009
With Disneyland a short walk away, we could spend about a week here and enjoy the rides, the shows, the stores, and the magic. On the downside, Mani is not a fan of rides that give you that "zero gravity" feeling. So she probably won't come with me on the big rides at California Adventures: The Tower of Terror, California Screamin' ect. But I WILL find a way to get her on! They're the best!

Waiting in line for the Submarine Voyage ride!
The Matterhorn is in the background, 2009
Also, I'm quite the Disney expert so I could suggest some rides that she should ride that she would never think of riding. She's also never seen the Fantasmic show at Disneyland! Can you believe it? That show always makes me cry somehow. It's SO beautiful. Everything at Disneyland makes me feel so unexplainably happy. So we definitely need to go here.
Thanks for reading! My stomache hurts sooooo bad. Here's some pictures from previous years at Disneyland/California Adventures:

A Cinderella Carriage right outside the Disneyland Hotel!
This is for a wedding that was being held there.

Tower of Terror! I look like such a dorky middle schooler.
I'm more grown up now, trust me! 2008
In the end, I look totally different. Yikes, I was getting kinda chubby and had bad style and hair. Woo. But at least I had fun there.
Next blog post, weight loss, healthy choices, and etc. Bye bye!

Cloudy With Chances of Snow
Today has been quite the depressing day. I've decided to read up to chapter 11 in my Grapes Of Wrath book for Advanced American Literature. I need to have these chapters read by this Friday but I know I would never get around to reading it on the week nights. So I read 160 pages in two days. I locked myself up in my room for two days and only left when it was time for a meal and then working out. I read 80 pages on Saturday and 80 pages today.

(Yes, those orange papers are little sticky notes so I can annotate all through out the book).
However, this was no easy task. First off, this book is painfully boring to get through so my mind wandered almost every paragraph. This resulted in reading 80 pages in about five hours. And I still had to use SparkNotes.com to make sure I read everything correctly.
Today, I got a little creative. I downloaded the audio book of Grapes of Wrath and put the mp3 files on my iPod so I could lay in my bed and read the book. This made it much easier for me to focus. I was able to finish the 80 pages in about three hours! All finished with my reading homework this week!

(My cute green iPod plugged into my iHome speakers)

(I also cleaned my room while listening).
I know what you're thinking, "An audio book, Colleen? That sounds like cheating and plain lazy behavior. Just read the dang book, okay?"
And to that, I will respond: No. This is not cheating. This actually helps me understand the book better. The speaker actually keeps me interested. Also, I am not being lazy, I follow along in my book, too (except when I cleaned my room. But that only took 10 minutes).
And that's it for that homework. I still have to write a complete journal on those chapters and have it done by Friday. But I believe that will be easy. I still have to do my math homework, ugh ugh ugh.
Moving along, I feel bad that I missed church this morning so I could read my Grapes of Wrath book. So to make up for it, I pulled out my daily bible book. It's a really good way for me to read through the key stories in the bible in one whole year. I received this for Christmas:

Here's the book sitting on my night stand with my two favorite pictures behind it: One the left is Mani and I at the homecoming football game and on the right is Kayla, Mady, Myself, and Leah at Repossess (which is a huge concert event).
And here's the back of the book so you can read how the book works:

And lastly for today, I'm having pizza for dinner and then I'm working out and doing my math homework over at Mani's. Also, it's very cloudy out and the forecast says there's chance of snow. I sure hope there will be some tonight. Bye!
